FAQ: Fees

Our physical therapy practice accepts the following insurance plans:

Medicare

Medicaid

Private health insurance (e.g. Blue Cross Blue Shield, Johns Hopkins Healthcare System, Aetna)

Workers’ compensation insurance

Please note that the list of accepted insurance plans may vary based on your location and individual policy. We recommend contacting us directly and your insurance company to confirm the acceptance of your specific insurance plan.

If you receive physical therapy services and your insurance plan is out-of-network, you may be responsible for paying a higher portion of the bill. The exact amount you’ll be responsible for will depend on your insurance plan and policy terms.

Some insurance plans may still provide partial coverage for out-of-network physical therapy services, while others may not cover these services at all. To understand your financial responsibility, it’s important to review your insurance policy or contact your insurance company directly.

MindBody also has an out-of pocket price.  If your insurance does not cover, an evaluation would cost $125 and all follow up visits are $100.

If you do not have insurance coverage for physical therapy services, you may still be able to receive treatment by paying for services out of pocket. Our practice offers competitive self-pay rates and accepts payment by cash, check, or credit card.

If you have any questions or concerns about paying for physical therapy services without insurance, our office staff would be happy to assist you and provide more information on alternative payment options.

    1. $125 for initial evaluation
    2. $100 for follow-up visits

If you have been injured on the job and have workers’ compensation insurance, your insurance should cover the cost of physical therapy services related to your injury. Workers’ compensation insurance is designed to provide financial support and medical care for employees who have been injured at work.

In all cases, a physician, designated by your employer, must write a referral for physical therapy for your workers’ compensation insurance to cover the cost of physical therapy treatments, rehabilitation, and other related services that are deemed medically necessary for the treatment of your work-related injury. However, it is important to check with your insurance provider to confirm the specific terms of your coverage and to understand any restrictions or requirements.

Our physical therapy practice accepts workers’ compensation insurance, and our office staff would be happy to assist you with any questions or concerns related to your insurance coverage. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us directly.

This depends upon your insurance. A good way to find out is to call your provider.

Medicare often says there isn’t a cap on the amount of visits that you are allowed. Please be advised that you should always clarify with your provider.

The number of physical therapy visits or sessions you are eligible for under your insurance plan will vary based on your specific policy and the type and extent of your injury or condition. Some insurance plans have a set limit on the number of visits or sessions, while others may provide unlimited coverage.  Other insurances may have a set number of visits allowed per incident/or occurrence.  Again, it is important to clarify the specifics of your plan with your provider.

Medicare, for example, often has a cap on the number of physical therapy visits, but the exact limit may vary depending on the specific circumstances of your case. It is important to check with your insurance provider to determine your coverage and the number of visits or sessions you are eligible for.
